about us

this is us

faith, family, and fellowship are the cornerstones of our lives and the foundation of our business. as a family, our greatest priority is our relationship with God, and we believe that this is reflected in how we operate. our business model is built on principles of honesty, integrity, and service, guided by our desire to honor God in all we do.

we cherish the time we spend together, whether we're with our extended families, exploring the great outdoors, homeschooling our children, or getting creative with crafting projects. we've always dreamed of creating a space where friends and family could gather, enjoy life, and celebrate the Lord's provision, and we're so excited to share that dream with you.

about heritage hives

in eastern south dakota, heritage hives is bringing a one-of-a-kind vision to life. as a family and veteran-owned business, we celebrate the full, beautiful journey of honey—from the blossoms that make it possible, to the bees that work so hard, to the unique mead we craft. our business is a living expression of our values: fellowship, stewardship, and artisanship.

we invite you to explore our handcrafted mead, raw honey, cut flowers, and various health and wellness products, all created with a deep respect for this incredible venture. we are thrilled to share this unique process with our home state and hope you'll join us.

our mission

to create and facilitate a gathering place for families to come and enjoy God's nature and provision.

to utilize His provision in the creation of quality products while being good stewards by practicing responsible permaculture.

to strengthen familial and community bonds with each other as well as to our Creator and His creation.

fellowship, stewardship, artisanship, 3 pillars

how we farm

our farming philosophy at heritage hives is rooted in working with nature, not against it. we believe the future of farming lies in practices that enrich the land. by implementing no-till, chemical-free, and regenerative agriculture, we are actively improving the health of our soil, sequestering carbon from the atmosphere and creating a more resilient ecosystem.

our farm is a diverse ecosystem, intentionally designed to be the opposite of a monocrop. we cultivate a wide variety of cut flowers, perennials, and herbs, all while preserving a native wildlife habitat. this approach not only boosts biodiversity above and below ground but also supports our apiary and a thriving pollinator population.
